Debian 11 on a Mid-2011 Apple iMac 27-inch
@dekkzz78 I always run Stable
@dekkzz78 But I am open to running Testing, but since you can always get new kernels from Backports and Liquorix, newer apps from Backports and Flatpak, there is less of a reason to avoid Stable.
One of the advantages of Debian Stable is security. Patches often come into Stable before Testing. The Debian Security Team is focused on the Stable branch, and I appreciate that while Stable is old, it is almost always patched -- at least the core packages.
@passthejoe how old is the hw you run?
@dekkzz78 I have a 2017 HP Envy laptop running Fedora Silverblue 36 and a 2011 iMac on Debian 11
@passthejoe interesting, not thought about going testing?
