Swede’s Photographs<p>Predator</p><p>I’m not sure what species of dragonfly this is, but it certainly caught the attention of the northern mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos). From the mockingbird’s perspective, their interaction seems to be going quite well!</p><p>"The Northern Mockingbird enjoys making its presence known. It usually sits conspicuously on high vegetation, fences, eaves, or telephone wires, or runs and hops along the ground. Swede’s Photographs<p>Waters of Dawn</p><p>This image was captured about three years ago at a small, secluded pond on the outskirts of Albany, Georgia, hidden away between hotels. The original scene featured two birds: this immature white ibis (Eudocimus albus) and a great egret. Swede’s Photographs<p>Whimsical Woodland Sprite</p><p>This whimsical sprite is playfully dubbed a tree gnome (Nanus arboris)—just kidding! But doesn’t the bird’s crest resemble a gnome’s hat? In reality, it is a tufted titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor). These charming little birds frequent the nearby forest and often visit my backyard feeders. Their visits are brief; they swoop in just long enough to snatch a sunflower seed or peanut before darting back to the safety of the trees.</p><p>Tufted titmice are a favorite among a select group of bird enthusiasts. 🐦 My first great egret 🇩🇪<br>
📝I had seen great egrets before and photographed them 3-4 times. But the photos were just to show that I had seen some.<br>
ℹ️ The Great White Egret (Ardea Alba) grows up to 100 cm tall and has a wingspan of up to 170 cm. It feeds mainly on amphibians, fish and aquatic insects.<br>

🐦 mein erster Silberreiher 🇩🇪<br>
📝Ich hatte schon öfter mal Silberreiher gesehen und auch 3-4 mal fotografiert. Nur waren das eher „Beweißfotos“. Jetzt konnte ich mal einen etwas besser ablichten.<br>
ℹ️ Der Silberreiher (Ardea Alba) wird bis zu 100 cm groß und bekommt eine Spannweite von bis zu 170 cm. Er ernährt sich vor allem von Amphibien, Fischen und Wasserinsekten. Silberreiher sind in Deutschland vor allem Durchzügler, aber es gibt zunehmend Exemplare mit festen Standort.<br>

🇺🇸: The rock dove (Columba livia) is a species of bird in the pigeon family (Columbidae). It is the sole ancestral form of the domestic pigeon and thus also of the city pigeon. This domesticated and feral form is one of the most successful birds on earth. The rock dove is about 33 centimeters long, its wingspan is about 63 centimeters and it weighs about 330 grams. Rock doves feed on grain seeds, acorns and seeds from conifers, buds, berries and occasionally also on snails, insects and worms. The rock dove lives all year round in the entire Mediterranean region, in the east as far as the Caspian Sea and in Scotland, Ireland, on the Shetland and Faroe Islands.<br>
