Spaceways07/04/2025 - Evening walk to say hello to the sea. The light was lovely on the sand. We sat, had our tea and watched the waves. The summer birds are back, plenty terns fishing near shore and fulmars flying overhead. The sun set and we walked back in twilight. Spaceways04/04/2025 - Friday evening walk after work. My favourite time of the week. The sunshine was lovely and not too chilly out. We sat by the roadside and had our tea, watching a big flock of pink-footed geese in a far field. They looked busy, getting ready for their journey north in the next few weeks. Spaceways02/04/2025 - Evening walk up Tap o' Noth in Aberdeenshire. We took the scope and spent 4hrs on top, just sitting, having a brew and chatting to the stars. It was chilly but we hid behind the ramparts so it was OK (there's a Pictish hillfort on top). Spaceways24/03/2025 - Today's current events.Evening walk after work to the bottle bank. The industrial estate has some nice wild flowers and trees and it's a quiet place in the evening. The flowering currants are looking lovely just now. I really like their leaves. Spaceways19/03/2025 - Cold night on the hill. We took the scope with us on our evening walk. The sky was clear but slightly hazy. Tonight's photo is of the flaming star nebula. Whilst waiting (photo took about 2hrs) the aurora popped by to say hello. Spaceways08/03/2025 - An evening walk up Carn Ealasaid in Aberdeenshire for sunset. I love the hills round the upper reaches of the River Don. Another good day weather wise for a walk. We made the top just before the sun went to bed. We sat and had our tea. Stayed a bit over an hour and watched the sky darken. Cloudier than I would have liked and moon overhead so didn't get that dark. On the way back the sound of lapwings filled the air. Spaceways01/03/2025 - A nice walk up the Buck today, a fine hill on the border between Aberdeenshire and Moray. The sunshine was lovely on the way up. We had our tea on top and watched the sun set. Dark on way back down. Stars were really good. Spaceways05/02/2025 - An evening spent galaxy hopping. We walked up the hill with the scope. Found a quiet spot and tried to take photos of some of the galaxies round Ursa Major. The moon was high so the sky wasn't that dark and a bit hazy maybe.
