The fort we can barely see is Old Fort Niagara, on the American side of the Niagara River, which begins here and acts as an international border by flowing into Lake Erie. Well, the river runs north, but it does separate the land mass. :)</p><p>There is a corresponding Canadian fort, Fort George, down to the right.
