Just a random observation...

I was really surprised when I realized that the wish spell is not part of the 1974 LBBs.

The first time the M-U spell appears is in Greyhawk Supp 1.

The LBBs do have a ring of three wishes in Book 3, but that's it.

It goes to show how much GH really influenced what we see as "OD&D" when in reality, GH was a huge change from the original game.

I had always just "assumed" that wish had been there from the beginning, but NOPE

On this Transgender Day of Visibility, I want to give a shout out for the #ttrpg Transatlantis (clairemulkerin.itch.io/transat). My wife used the character creation section and the setting as the basis for two mini Genesys campaigns, one of which I got to play. As the only cis participant, it was an interesting inversion of my daily experiences where #trans people are in the minority. I also liked how the character creation led to multifaceted characters, and the setting made for some fun sky piracy.

I've been looking at different hex mapping styles today, and wouldn't mind seeing more maps where the edges of the hexes aren't absolute borders, i.e. where the biomes "bleed" a bit, without going outright "regular map, just with grid super-imposed".
