Public Service Announcement for those that use #Tassimo #coffee machines.

I now eschew capsule coffee*, but the machine is in the house already and once or twice a year I fancy a decaf at night.

If you put the capsule in twisted by mistake & close the lid, throw the capsule away! If you reposition it and try to make coffee, it *will* shit the bed and cover everything with coffee grounds. Ask me how I know. 15 minutes' cleanup, minimum.

A lot of folks bought the Hario Suiren based off our initial First Look at the device, the article itself being a bit of a scoop. Our own tracking shows several hundred units sold.

After upgrading my Wifi router so that I can finally get 1G wifi, my old #Android #LG #V60 #phone is getting hot when idling, and it's not even able to get >0.5G consistently. I think there's something wrong with the radios on these devices. My partner's GPS is going out too. I think these were #snapdragon with 5G radios ziptied on. There's bound to be better cellphones, these days. Ones that like... work in all the rooms in my house and out of city limits?

@swancheez I've been down various roads in home #coffee. #JamesHoffmann has helped me a lot. The balance for me is between #coffee taste I like (obviously!), time taken in the kitchen, cost of equipment and cost of materials.

My current sweet spot is Ethiopian beans from a local roaster, #V60, a #3Dprinted scoop & a Wilfa grinder. Weighing beans & water would probably be Good, but I feel there can be only +/- 10% variance using a scoop and adding water to the filter by eye.
