Besides letting us manage our own funds, the first of these would be allowing us to sign up to an Indian SMS gateway, thereby reducing our message sending fees by 90%! contrapunctus ✊🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️<p>A question I've often struggled with - in a consumer- and worker-owned <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/cooperative" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cooperative</span></a> , how is balance maintained between the interests of the workers and the consumers?</p><p>There are typically more consumers than workers, so I expect the former could always outvote the latter in conflicts. Which is unfair.</p><p>You could cap the number of consumer-members to be equal to the number of workers. #Prav started working as a #cooperative since #PravConf (two weeks already). We were working on the bye-laws and looking for people willing to join as members for over 2 years already.

Now we have prav.app/coop/ which lists the Office bearers, Board of Directors and Members.

Board is elected by members for a two year term. So far we have #Dalits, #OBCs and #Christians in the board. Inviting #underrepresented to join as members and serve on the board.
