On the same quiet, hidden block as the Innerfields #mural is this one by #Chinese #artist SATR, completed for last year’s HKwalls #streetart festival. From Guangzhou, she’s known for her original technique of using #spraypaint atomization and is influenced by traditional Chinese #ink #paintings. (Took this photo a couple weeks ago on my first full day back in #HongKong after the Vietnam side trip.)

Inspiration for my daily #inkyDays drawings mostly come from science, nature, and mathematics. But sometimes it comes from current events, and my need to process them.

So, today, I've made my first attempt to draw penguins in a way that works with my techniques. I'm a little surprised at how cute they turned out, when I was angry while drawing them.

Many of the processes of carding, dying, spinning and weaving were carried out in the same place — perhaps even by the same person. Evidence for domestic cloth production can be found from every single period of British history right back to the Neolithic, and in some remote parts continued well into the early twentieth century. Certainly, in rural communities it was a useful sideline during the quiet times of the agricultural year, when the days were short and long evenings could be spent spinning on the wheel and casting on the loom. I had a pack of these maybe seven years ago and they never left their plastic wrap, which caused me to sell them

Found a pack recently and ykno what? This design is TOO BEAUTIFUL not to use. So I bought them
