"... The communist writers and politicians inside and outside of Russia explain Russia’s aggressive policies as mere self-defence. It is, they say, not Russia that plans aggression but, on the contrary, the decaying capitalist democracies. Russia wants merely to defend its own independence. This is an old and well-tried method of justifying aggression. Louis XIV and Napoleon I, Wilhelm II and Hitler were the most peace-loving of all men."

@amineca : in the village (*) I live in, there's a repair cafe every second wednesday of the month.

(*) With the only "pyramid" in NL: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_

I joined the repair people this month for the first time, and was happy to do some fixing.

I met a number of very kind people, and it is unbelievably rewarding to help people and see how that cheers them up - even if their problems are kind of silly.

I'll definitely be present again in one and a half weeks time!

#democracy #nationalism and #patriotism is quoted out of historical context for political gains and thanks to we not caring about #history
its as simple as, if the nation has problem , so should be every citizen
If only you can get a population to that
Since your can't you end up saying
- hey when Germans were individualistic #Napoleon attacked their nation , so these times here justify nationalist socialism
As if its as simple as that

"A $700B green empire crumbles before our eyes. Tesla stock down 45% while European sales collapse.

'Victory belongs to the most persevering,' Napoleon once wrote. After conquering Europe, every triumph reinforced his mythology until victory itself became strategy. When he crowned himself Emperor, observers noted not the crown itself, but the way he took it from the Pope's hands to place it on his own head, an act that transformed revolutionary into sovereign"

A sketch of the Great Sphinx of Giza, published in 1755. Note the missing nose, also seen in other sketches of the Great Sphinx of that era. Napoleon was a terrible person who did many bad things, but the nose was knocked off the Sphinx long before he ever got there.

@screaminggoat These sentences for all of them are pretty fucking light. Honestly, they all should have been dealt the way the EX-USAF TSgt was dealt with. If you were a vet there, you lose all VA benefits and enrollment. Better, yet you know TITLE 8 of USC Death is the penalty for Treason un that law. Or like #Napoleon place them all in excile like a leper colony.
BTW-I am really loving infosec-exchange, its like I am reading real content again, from real people.

It's not a return to the 1940s.
Not since Julius Caesar has a tyrant been capable of ruling the combined forces of the rest of the world.
#Napoleon had to contend with Europe & failed.
#Hitler had to contend with Europe & USA & failed.

The US military is sized to defeat the combined forces of the whole world. This has been a good thing for defeating #fascists.

If fascists can control the US military, we are in for 1000 years of hell.

Today may be the most important day in history.

#VOTE!!!
