Prior to the pandemic, #asthma caused me to do a deep dive into masks as #wildfire that summer had left me unable to breathe.

I was shocked to learn that *procedure masks*, aka "medical masks" are indeed only for the purpose described above. They were also being used for "patient confidence" despite doing very little good

At no time did those documents conflate medical masks with #respirators (#N95, #P100, etc) -- those very clearly helped with smoke and viruses.
