TWH reports from yesterday’s Hands Off protest in Washington, D.C., where organizers say that over 100,000 attendees gathered to protest the Trump administration’s attempts to slash federal programs – some of whom were wearing pentacles and Mjolnir pendents.

Why is it in shows as soon as a human sacrifice comes up, they say it's a #Pagan sacrifice to their Gods? Of all the Pagans I know, they're much nicer more than other religions I've come across. So why? Why do we get the mudled and dark stuff pointed at us?!

It's Freyasday, here's your #FridayPaganPoll:

The concept of a "year and a day" study to convert to paganism was started by the Wiccans as a way for initiates to experience each holiday in the Wheel of the Year before becoming official. Now, many other pagans do the same thing to build experience with the lunar and solar cycles, either on their own or in a group.

Did you undertake a "year and a day" or similar study?

Hi! 👋 I just joined, and while I figure this out, let me tell you a bit about me.

I'm a maker of dolls inspired by nature, folklore, labyrints of myth, mind and magic. My dolls are mostly witches, and when they leave my home, they often become altar dolls. It's been a weird and interesting journey of doll making for the past 7 years, 600+ dolls now live in homes and collections around the world.

Besides crafting dolls I'm into permaculture, paganism, self-sufficiency, foraging and neverending self-development. I'm a forest dweller, mushroom hunter, food grower and herb lover deep in the countryside in Latvia (North-Eastern Europe). All of that I might occasionally share here. I would love to connect with like-minded people, so, if you're here, say 'hi'! I hope you are somewhere here...

As a #pagan, for whom seasonal changes are important, I should be celebrating their return. I don't impose too much symbolic meaning on nature because I believe nature exists for its own sake (and the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ and other natives have had a system of symbolism and meaning connected to the Black Hills region millenia before European settlers arrived). Watching them fly is a rare pleasure for me, and I never associate them with anything negative.

Notes from Swannanoa finale: After experiencing the challenges of the five months following Helene, I eagerly moved through the kaleidoscopic seasons, observing the early signs of change. I danced in the garden when I found purple dead nettle blooming, and I crowed with delight when the daffodils returned from the underworld.

Thank Goddess, it's Friday! Here's the #FridayPaganPoll this week:

Was memorizing lists of correspondences part of your initial pagan learning?

(For clarification, I'm talking about lists of candle color meanings, herb uses, gemstones, etc.)

Just occurred to me that there are definitely pagans on Mastodon and there's no way there aren't. I'm looking into it, reading books and stuff and seeing what speaks to me atm. I've been entirely areligious and basically atheist my whole life, but I've been getting really interested in spirituality and paganism. I even had a significant dream about it... I think it may be the time in my life for me to figure out my beliefs. #pagan #paganism #spirituality

This labyrinth pendant hangs from a hand wrapped chain of Czech glass beads. The weighty, double-sided pendant depicts the Chartres cathedral maze in beautiful detail. The Chartres labyrinth dates from the 13th century, but is an echo of an earlier pagan symbol.

This necklace celebrates the spiral journey: a reminder that there are no wrong turns in life, and though the path may twist and double back, we walk it in love & trust.
