in light of the recent tariff announcements and the economic impact it's going to have on,,,, literally all of us, how about we kick off a little #30DaysOfReadiness series where we share ('share' not as in 'posting' but rather 'freely exchanging a resource we have—like knowledge—that someone else might not') a tip a day about ways to prepare for the changes we're inevitably going to encounter in the coming weeks, months, and years?

"The standard ministerial line is that any historic act of struggle was noble and necessary – but modern equivalents are the preserve of malcontents and malefactors who deserve a good truncheon or tasering.’
James Butler on protest.

Reports of a demoralized Musk preparing to step down roil Washington DC:

On the first of April, Elon Musk's attempt to buy the Wisconsin election for a state Supreme Court seat backfired in a very spectacular manner: his candidate lost by ten points in a state Trump carried by one point. Apparently this was a real "shock and awe" moment for Trump and Musk.

On the 2nd of April, Politico reported that Trump has told his inner circle that Musk may now speed up his planned May departure from the US government

The White House later called this report "garbage," but Tesla stock soared on the news. Meanwhile, Tesla major stockholder Ross Gerber is demanding that Musk resign either from DOGE or from Tesla.

Folks, Musk is cracking and that means Trump is being weakened. This is like when we pulled down the statue of Confederate general Albert Pike in Washington DC right in front of MPD headquarters. It reminds me of the moment the bolts holding the statue to its plinth broke after maybe an hour of pulling on the ropes. The statue began to rock, maybe three pulls later it came down in a mighty crash.

NOW is the time. Think of Musk's DOGE as a Confederate statue with the rope of protest on it: PULL! PULL!

They say good things come in threes!

Last night:

1 - Progressive Judge Susan Crawford beat Elon Musk's puppet BADLY in Wisconsin!

2 - Sen Cory Booker beat racist fuck Strom Thurmond's record for longest Senate speech!

3 - Yes, the MAGA candidates won the Florida House seats, but there was a 20 point swing back towards the Democrats!

NEXT - On Saturday we march on #Washington and EVERY state capitol to tell these fascists to get their #HandsOff our #democracy!! 💪

The new details of the final hours of the occupation of Hamilton Hall on April 30 were among the key revelations of the 335-page report, which was written by a group within the senate, a #Columbia policymaking body that includes faculty members, students & administrators, with faculty in the majority. The senate is #independent from the administration & has been critical of its #protest response.
