Sorry, I've just been enjoying #Reeder vastly more than before after not trying to use it to read my social networks and just focus on news sources

I still have it connected so I can use it to *search* my timeline, but that's about it

Are you getting your hands on #TimelineApps lately? Same here. And again and again I have to state that #reeder is my app of choice in this field currently. This goes for the design and the functionality. I am struggling with the use of #surf and don't get very far. #tapestryapp looks quite nice, but I am unable to connect to any Bluesky account. Not even my own. #feeeed is free and has got some nice features, but I do not like the design very much. For me #reeder is the most reliable app here.

I really like the new #Tapestry app by @Iconfactory, but the one thing really holding me back from making it my main RSS, blog, and social media consumption medium is the lack of a full text parser for RSS feeds.

I'm so used to being able to load up an entire article without leaving the app when using #Reeder and similar services that I just can't make the switch, even though #Tapestry has a much better UI.

Not sure if full text RSS is something that the team is looking at implementing, but if it ever came I'm pretty sure I'd switch over in a heartbeat.

I have been using the new #Reeder for quite a while now. It's a game changer for reading blogs, listening to poscasts, and following video channels. I prefer the clean look of the new Reeder over #Tapestry, but it's nice to see there's another app like this out there. I urge you to try out either (or both) of them. I love it.

I relapsed... I got back into #RSS and spent several hours over my break going through unread feeds, unstarring articles in #Feedbin, and decluttering my feeds by unsubscribing to some I don't read

I can't help but feel like I wasted time doing that but I also feel like digitally decluttering is productive. After all, I apparently have 100,000 starred articles in #Feedbin :blobcatsweat: I think a lot of that was filters that cast too wide of a net that built up especially after I took a long break from RSS.

It also probably came from starring things that could easily have simply been bookmarked instead. I found out yesterday that I could unstar articles through the API. Maybe I can write a program to help mass unstar articles since neither Feedbin nor #Reeder (classic) have multi select.

This was more of a ramble but if anyone has tips on helping me wrangle my RSS feeds and saved/read-later articles I would love to hear them!

The new #reeder app seem to be a step backward in usability to me. Maybe I’m not getting it, but it no longer has the concept of read/unread blog posts; everything just…hangs out there forever. It also makes it very difficult to read the content in a web browser; you used to be able to press B to open an article in Safari, but now it’s a click on the share arrow, then Open, with no keyboard shortcuts.

I don’t even mind paying for the very reasonable subscription price, but I can’t use this app. Luckily Reeder Classic is still around.

My favorite feature of the new #Reeder is the “Reader View” button: when a feed that doesn’t support full article, clicking the button takes you to the full article but with the same reading experience ❤️
