70,000 images! I started Patchvault (.org) in 2013, but I didn't get it launched as my eldest was born shortly after. I used it as a way to keep up with the changes in Ruby on Rails and manage my own collection in something better than Excel files. Demo'd in 2017 and launched shortly thereafter.
The Rails side is relatively easy compared to high-res scanning and processing the volume of memorabilia in the last 100 + years of Scouting. Thanks to my partners in running this, Todd Rogers & Glenn Chase, and the scores of editors cataloging, scanning, and publishing the history. Design is starting to show its age, and PDF generation has driven me slightly mad, but it's all well worth it.
