What a wonderful honour. This might be even better than winning an Oscar. Likewise, I hope one day I can see Ukraine and feel that connection again, especially as a citizen of the EU.

La historia involucra a un sobreviviente del genocidio de Ruanda. Hacer enfoque a eso y no mencionar el genocidio presente de Palestina definitivamente fue una decision.
Been to see the new (ish) #JesseEisenberg film #ARealPain this afternoon, really enjoyed it. Made me laugh, made me cry. Brilliant cinematography as well - beautiful shots of quite mundane scenery.
The Brutalist gesehen und eine glatte 10 von 10. Auf knappe 3,5 Stunden keine Längen. Da steckt thematisch und geschichtlich so viel drin, daß man danach direkt nochmal nachlesen und einordnen muß. Gute Zeiten fürs Kino gerade mit top Filmen.

Double-Depri-Feature dieses Wochenende. Erst #TheBrutalist, dann #ARealPain. Ich mag Kieran Culkin sehr, und Jesse Eisenberg nehme ich zum ersten Mal seit Jahren einen netten Kerl ab.
Aber lang wurde der Film mir trotzdem zwischendurch. Die besten Dialoge hatte ich auch schon in irgendwelchen Podcasts gehört.
"A Real Pain", which just won Kieran Culkin a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor, will make its streaming debut on Hulu January 16. Jesse Eisenberg wrote, directed and stars in the film.

I just saw #ARealPain tonight and it was great! Funny and also poignant. Jesse Eisenberg did a fantastic job writing and directing and Kieran Culkin stole the show with an incredible performance. I'd highly recommend it.
