The #DUP #TUV and loyalist activist 🚮 continue to waste massive sums of taxpayers money arguing that Ireland’s national language shouldn’t be on signage in Ireland; meanwhile there’s insufficient housing, agricultural pollution affecting much of our AONB and water bodies, prices are about to rise exponentially because of Trump tariffs, a UK ETA for visitors to six countries of Northern Ireland that will cost tourism and hospitality a lot in discontinued bookings, and a likely rise in unemployment as the effect of tariffs impact around the world.
But two languages on a signboard……. Pass the smelling salts.

I wonder how much Jamie Bryson costs the UK taxpayer every year? He’s hardly ever out of the courts, as he takes legal action after legal action over very important life changing subjects such as dual language signage in the new Belfast Central Transport hub, or a new pre-school or playgroup in Irish, or a GAA pitch were everyone can play camogie, hurling etc. He’s not a lawyer, a barrister, a KC, or a solicitor. He’s not called to the bar, and has no legal qualifications, but he sure know how to take up an immense amount of court time.
Even the #UUP and #DUP avoided this one, simply stating they would raise it in Stormont.
On his Xitter timeline he uses inflammatory rhetoric like ‘divisive, agressive demands, imposition’ and claims the use of Irish is some kind of attack on Unionism. No one is forcing him to read anything in Irish ever.

If you don’t wear what Edwin Poots [MLA, DUP, Speaker] in Stormont considers smart attire, he’s going to stop your right to represent your constituents.
MLAs are adults elected to represent their constituencies, not elected to look like a DUP fashion parade. Given the DUP love and adoration for Boris Johnson, who looked like an unmade bed most of the time, and their adoration of the madman currently inhabiting the White House, their choices are questionable at best. #DUP #Stormont #Think32 #UI #UKPolitics #NIPolitics

Wow! Now that is something I did not see coming, even though I never thought he was a good party leader. Clare Hanna MP or Matthew O’Toole MLA are excellent, and seeing Hanna take on this role is wonderful. Hopefully she will revive the #SDLP fortunes. With #DUP leader Donaldson resigning under a cloud of historical sexual offences accusations, earlier this year, and his deputy Gavin Robinson MP taking over: Doug Beattie of the #UUP resigning about a week ago, and former leader Mike Nesbitt MLA & Health Minister taking up as leader again that’s a lot of leadership changes in NI political parties in about six months. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/no

Edwin Poots:

"Unionists 'need to reach out’ to other communities"

For the former leader of a political party 'solely' motivated by sectarian identity politics and the demeaning and othering of other communities this is a very strange thing to say.

On top of that: all or the vast majority of the racist attacks against other communities in NI recently have been carried out by his people.

So how does that work out? 🤔

BBC NewsEdwin Poots: Unionists should ‘reach out’ to new communitiesHe was speaking on the BBC Red Lines podcast for an in-depth interview about his political career.

No Paisley in Nothing Ireland politics for the first time since 1970.

That is seismic and transformational. Plus the #DUP have went from eight to five seats. Bad night for #Unionism.

No Allister in #Stormont - should work slighty better with him out of the way!

No Paisley in #Westminster - the expenses system breathes a sigh of relief!

Unfortunately, Allister is now in #Westminster Sorry lads in the House of Commons - you have to suffer him now too.

Stolen from the other place - but it is too good not to toot & share. Well said Gary Neville (even though you're Man U)

Remember this when you are voting tomorrow. #NI remember this is the party that the #DUP helped prop up!

They are not in this for our benefit!

Get them out...as many as possible! #ge2024

Last week was Former #DUP FM Peter Robinson which means that panic is setting in.

So what is going on within the #DUP that Former FM Arlene Foster has been wheeled out to give her two pennies worth. (That should get plenty of people's backs up considering her crocodile comment) #ge2024

Folk of NI, what do you think it would take for the DUP to be the second largest Unionist party?

Even with what has happened this last while I’m sure they’re gonna be largely in the same position next general election.

I get it; I was brought up to believe a vote not for the DUP is a vote for Sinn Fein (any by extension, for bad things) and I know it’s the same for many from unionist backgrounds.
