"What Happens to Our Digital Footprints When We Die?"
I've sometimes thought about what will happen to that #digitalfootprint once I or my loved ones pass away, but I've never thought about as many implications as they discuss in the episode.
Thanks @parismarx and @tamigraph for bringing this topic to the podcast.
With the money that reddit is, I guess saving, or making, now that it only has its official app, does it yet have the financial/technical ability to allow users to edit their usernames once every 6 months to one year?

Did you know a 1MB email emits 20g of CO2, equivalent to a 60W lamp lit for 25 mins? Multiply that by 20 emails/day over a year, and it's like driving 1000km! My project "Emission of the Cloud" in Chemnitz will make this impact visible. Stay tuned! #ClimateAction #DigitalFootprint #EmissionOfTheCloud

Defining your digital footprint
A #digitalfootprint is created by online activity, leaving behind a visible mark of your presence. Browsing, logging in, and clicking links are all recorded in some way.

People need to stop posting photos of their toddlers on social media. No way it is ok for anyone to decide when does one's digital footprint is first being created
News flash: some might never want to establish one, once old enough to
A) know better
B) decide for themselves.
Don't think just because you are parenting a young human being you have the right to decide this for them. Don't ruin things for them. You have no such right.
This is especially disturbing among people who call themselves "influencers" and do commercial collaborations using their child in ad campaigns.
When making money [and being greed] becomes more important than your child's right for digital privacy, you should really consider waking the f* up.
