HANDS OFF! National Day of Action, Saturday, April 5th

Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. They're taking everything they can get their hands on, and daring the world to stop them. On Saturday, April 5th, we're taking to the streets nationwide to fight back with a clear message: Hands off!

A core principle behind Hands Off! is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

#Napa Hands Off event will be at the Courthouse on Brown Street, noon to 1:30 pm on April 5th.

WHERE are the injunctions against unlawful actions that could stop congressionally-mandated disbursement of funds to OVER SEVENTY MILLION PEOPLE?

WHO in House and/or Senate is advocating for protections for recipients, millions of whom are the most dedicated voters?

WHAT ABOUT 47’s “promise” that SS would remain untouched? (Pardon me while I laugh at this particular lie.)

Not one of these criminal DOGE/CABINET ASSHOLES has experienced what it’s like to depend on a monthly deposit that for many is below the poverty level, and who have no other supplementary income (approximately 40% of SS beneficiaries depend on SS alone).

Seniors, dependents & disabled folks on SS cannot “wait & see what happens” AFTER a DOGE nerd pulls the plug. This must be the time for SOMEONE with guts to be proactive and protect this program.

Social Security Works is working to have as many rallies at Social Security offices as possible. If you can host one, email us at alawson@socialsecurityworks.org and we can help with turn out, press coordination and inviting elected officials. We will be doing as many events as possible and building toward a large scale national day of action on April 5th with rallies happening across the country. Find or sign up to host a rally outside a Social Security office near you using this form. When we stand together, we cannot be defeated.
