@erosalie

That is collapse, because you know elon is trying to keep it up.

Tesla debt is going underwater. Seriously underwater.

Banks would love to give him billions, but now that he is understood to be evil, he can't sell anything, so they won't get their money back.

Anyone have recommendations for a note-taking service that

  • has a mobile client
  • supports checkmark lists of items like Google Keep
  • has a web API?

Google Keep's API is annoyingly locked down; it's Enterprise-only (which, fine Google, I'd do that, except on my phone I use a personal account and all my Keep notes are in that account, why did you build a Torment Nexus?). The hacks are to fake accessing it via the mobile client, which is unstable and, uh, probably violating some TOS somewhere to futz with.

At this point, Google clearly doesn't want me to keep using their note-taking tool and that's fine because I don't want to use it either. 😛

#Google #Keep is shockingly slow this entire last week. It's taking me 15+ seconds to get a responsive page. I was hoping it was a temp issue but it's not going away. And if you really want to know:
1. I cleared my cache
2. I logged in with an incognito window
3. I reboot my computer

I generally avoid native apps but when the desktop app is bad, you don't have much choice.

I'm playing around with #xTiles. Anyone else use this? I like the way it operates like a #canvas, you can drag and drop things around anywhere. Wondering if folks are aware of other tools similar to this?

It's a little more structured than others I've encountered like #Miro, I think? But more free-form than say #Notion or #coda.

In some ways its like #Google #Keep on steroids. I really like the canvas, would love to find other similar tools.

In my long and ongoing efforts to deGoogleerise I have switched to Joplin instead of Google Keep. There is a way to migrate your Keep notes to Joplin. I also found that I could migrate my Zim desktop wiki data into Joplin. So now I only have the one place to look.

Joplin is available for Android ( I'd rather be there than in Apple's garden). It can be installed from F-Droid.

I am syncing the data using WebDav via Fastmail. And everything is going well.
