@pkreissel made an algorithm for mastodon to free us from the tyranny of reverse chronological order and it's totally awesome.

IMHO a customizable algorithm is the only thing mastodon needs to really take things to the next level.

@John🥛 @Mark W. Cooper Yup. The official app is named "Mastodon" and nothing more. And it railroads everyone to mastodon.social while still giving them a choice between a few hard-coded instances, but also the choice to completely ignore the choice.

It just isn't nearly as fully-featured as, say, Tusky or Mona. And it doesn't look and feel like the Twitter app.
