The initial nova-core driver stub was merged to #Linux mainline for #LinuxKernel 6.15[1].
#Nova is going to be a #kernel driver for #Nvidia's modern GPUs written in #Rustlang. It is the successor of the #Nouveau kernel driver and serve as base for drivers like #NVK.
The core driver stub is not really useful for anything yet. But that should change soon – and I guess will be the turning point that'll sell #Rust for Linux to the world.

So in T CrB system, both the red giant and the white dwarf can trigger nova events but can we talk about how the red giant is still standing (with the exception that it does not destroy the white dwarf)? 
This is just mind-boggling.

سال‌ها قبل FreeDesktop تصمیم گرفت با بازنویسی درایورهای گرافیک‌های انویدیا و انتشار آن به صورت آزاد، پروژه Nouveau (نوو) را آغار کند. اما اکنون تصمیم گرفته شده آن را با زبان Rust، تحت عنوان Nova منتشر کنند. البته نوا فقط محدود به گرافیک‌های سری RTX20 (تورینگ) به بعد است و مدل‌های قبلی را پشتیبانی نخواهد کرد.
ظاهرا باید منتظر حضور Nova در لینوکس نسخه ۶.۱۵ باشیم.

NVIDIA still refuses open sourcing drivers - Red Hat has been developing open NOVA -driver for the Linux kernel 
NVIDIA drivers on Linux here is a co-op scenario:
◉Userland: Vulkan / OpenGL handling (these drivers wished be opened)
◉Kernel side: framebuffer / computations (these are open now)
NVK (Vulkan) is also progressing (part of Mesa) - eventually replacing Nouveau (the original open solution for NVIDIA).

Firing hundreds of NOAA workers is having a severe impact on the day-to-day lives of all Americans. We depend on NOAA workers everyday to warn us of weather events, protect our commercial fisheries, support first-responders when disasters happen, and much more. We have already seen the damage Trump and Musk have done to other critical agencies. We have seen how families and communities have paid a heavy price for so-called "efficiency.” NOAA must be defended!
