@ToddVierling Yeah it’s remarkable that while there are indeed new #strains and the great is still there for so many, that it has our public consciousness so rapidly.

Just today we got this set of revised guidelines regarding school age children. We hear vague reports of “massive increase in #flu, #COVID and #RSV” but #controls? Nah. People are tired of controls.

After our second round of flu this season, I think people need a good scare to remind them those controls are damned important.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued new COVID-19 guidance which ends the requirement to isolate for five days after testing positive. However, you must still report positive cases to EBC. The NEW guidance is listed below: • If your child tests positive and has NO symptoms: • They can come to school, but should wear a mask for 10 days after testing positive. • If your child tests positive and has symptoms (see attached flyer) • They must stay home until they have not had a fever for 24 hours without using fever reducing medication AND until other COVID-19 symptoms are mild and improving. They should wear a mask for 10 days after symptoms start. Students should wear a mask around others indoors for 10 days after they become sick or test positive for COVID-19. They may remove their mask sooner than 10 days if they have two negative tests at least one day apart.
