#FensterFreitag: I usually prefer to show one #window only, but with #Hundertwasser, it's impossible to pick one because almost every window is unique!

This is the "Green Citadel" (#GrüneZitadelle) in #Magdeburg, one of Hundertwasser's last projects. I love this #building, it's a great addition to the city, right next to the cathedral. It houses flats, a hotel, cafés and restaurants, small shops, and a great little theatre. It also features two beautiful courtyards (one with a fountain), and a public toilet that's also all Hundertwasser, including a fish tank. 😂 It looks a bit dreary in winter without the lush greens that are integral to Hundertwasser's design and philosophy. Expect more snaps later in the year to see all its #colourful glory!

A medium shot captures the whimsical and colourful facade of the Hundertwasserhaus (The Green Citadel) in Magdeburg, Germany. The building boasts an irregular and organic design, characteristic of Friedensreich Hundertwasser's architectural style. The primary colours are pink and cream, with vertical stripes of darker, rough-textured material. Windows of various shapes and sizes, many framed with bright blue, are scattered across the facade seemingly at random. The building features multiple levels, with some balconies adorned with colourful, bulbous elements and greenery. A prominent cylindrical tower with numerous dark-framed windows rises from the left side of the structure, contrasting with the more pastel tones of the main building. The roofline is uneven and features decorative elements. At ground level, there are arched doorways and colourful, mosaic-like pillars supporting an overhang.

This fast moving Thunder Cloud caught up the sun much faster than I thought, so I could not reach to the spot that I wanted, I had to stop and find the best possible place. For Landscape Photography you can use nearly any focal length Lens, here I used a 135mm Lens to "cut" out the most important part of the Landscape

The Enchanted Forest.

“The Enchanted Forest” is an impressive #mural in #Halle. It is located on the wall of the cardboard factory Pacapime along the Brussels-Charleroi canal.

With an area of no less than 2000 square meters, it is one of the largest murals in Europe.

The #artwork was created by the #artist collective #Treepack and tells the story of several children who dream of a #future where people and nature live again in harmony and decide to make origami animals from paper they find in an enchanted forest. To their surprise, the animals come to life.

Children from the city of Halle served as models for the figures in the artwork.

The sunset warm temple by the icy blue pond

This temple complex in the north of Cambodia, on the border mountain range to the large northeast Isaan-region of Thailand, lays the levelled temple complex of Preah Vihear.

The name "Preah Vihear" comes from the Khmer words "Preah" (sacred) and "Vihear" (abode or shrine). The temple is also sometimes referred to as "Phnom Preah Vihear" (mountain of Preah Vihear).

The large temple complex was built during a century one thousand years ago. It has been a Cambodian World Cultural Heritage site for nearly twenty years.

As a tourist attraction, the temple is a popular travelling target with all the usual and some unique reasons. The location and the view and outlook of the surrounding areas are special. The combination of several Angkor art and architectural styles into one complex is very interesting.

It is a mountain temple, but the access is easy going after you have paid someone with 4x4 to drive you up. Not wheel chair accessible, but seniors and other who are able to walk can visit easily.
