"Child's Golden Japanese Mayberry", _Mayflower_ magazine, May 1896, Floral Park, New York, USA. Likely Rubus palmatus (or a hybrid): the plant is native to Korea and Japan and sets golden yellow or orange fruit in May. The leaves are more less the same as in the print, the only bit that doesn't quite match is the picture of it as a small tree with a single trunk - R. palmatus is a shrub with biennial canes.

Any plant people have advice/resources on identifying *specific varieties* of blackberries? Like I have a bunch growing, and would love to know what they are beyond "blackberries" (and whether they're a wild or cultivated variety) but search engines are broken and I don't know how to find this information!

Not a great pic that one. Here's another bush of them with a lot more ripe berries.
And little #BeardGrabber enjoyed eating the #berries from the bag while @Siiw or I pushed him along the trail.
Mostly #Teiebær (#Rubus #saxatilis, a species of #bramble) and #villRips ('wild red berries', #Ribes #spicatum) in the bag, but we also ate plenty of #raspberries; they just went straight into our mouths. ;)
Photo is of kiddo eating berries in his pram: https://mastodon.social/media/MVPHu0jdH5KeyriYNfM (no eye-contact).
