Usual #gammons on FB blaming #youths and #immigrants, but this #crime seems more likely to be jealous older man - youths are unlikely to know what an #Austin #Maestro is (nor security vulnerabilities of #1980s #cars) unless into retro cars (and would have more respect) - and any immigrant who remembers it is going to be older and law-abiding. Although one comment (probably made in jest) of perp being someone getting out of jail after 30+ years isn't that far-fetched

I just learned that #Casio made a #watch in the late #1980s that could broadcast sound over low FM frequencies. In this video, they pipe "Eye of the Tiger" into the mic of the watch and broadcast it to a nearby boombox, which plays it back via its FM receiver.

I think this is absolutely amazing and I would have ruled the school if I had had one of those. (Instead, I wore a very unimpressive but also very 1980s Swatch)

Following my previous post, here's a second recording of an army game demo tune by our former #Amiga game team's musician Ramon Braumuller.

In the previous recording, the drums have an unintended reverb effect. In this version, the drums are correct, but there's a short glitch at 6 seconds. 😅

Our 1980s Top Twenty Chart Poll

The final chart. Many thanks for all your boosts and votes.

A clear divide between the top ten and bottom ten in this poll. Out of season, Fairytale of New York was not popular, while Bruce Springsteen did not do as well as I expected.
