Thinking about the #CanPL teams I expect to do well this year, and the teams that I hope will do well, and there aren't enough playoff spots for all of them.

Okay smart soccer people, tell me, how was that for the first televised #CanPL match of the 2025 season?
I thought it was fun, but I'm not soccer smart.
Whatever I just saw should be the winner of some kind of something of the match.
Koleilat, man.
Me: (Stepping away from the game to make a snack): hope nothing happens while I'm making snack
Narrator: Something happened.
Forge 1 - Cavalry 0.
That save from Koleilat!
Are these teams sporting new kits?
Reminder: the first #CanPL game to be televised this season starts shortly on TSN2.
Great how #Onescocer no longer works on Firefox... Having to watch the #CanPL in a chrome browser now... ugh. I hate this constant funnelling towards chrome and targeted advertising. The internet has truly turned into the darkest of places

Alright #CanPL time to show up at #ChampionsCup #CONCACAF even if it is Forge.
Tonight, #CF_Monterrey comes to #HamOnt to play #ForgeFC of the #CanPL in #ConcacafChampionsCup
A daunting task for our club. A little chillier and snowyer here than in Mexico. #Fedifc
In the last week or so, I've seen 3 #CanPL expansion stories. One about CS St Laurent, one about Kitchener-Waterloo, and one about Kingston, Ontario.
None of these offered anything concrete, but something better come out of this expansion talk in the next year or two. Otherwise, I'd rather people just shut up about expansion.
- For last year's CONCACAF Champions Cup, a lot of people commented that Canadian teams were at a disadvantage because it was during their off-season, while other leagues' regular seasons were already under way.
Just putting it out there that maybe the 3 participating Canadian teams could hold a series of friendlies against each other to get into form.
#Alajeulense with one hand firmly on the
#CONCACAF Central American Cup. The second to last qualifier for the #ConcacafChampionsCup Cup. This weekend #MLS Champion will qualify for the Round of 16. The tournament runs Feb - Jun next year. #Canadian clubs #Whitecaps (6th time) #Cavalry (2nd time) and #Forge (3rd time) are in.

#CanPL final got some good numbers on the weekend.
Note that it's total viewers, not average, but it's still a good showing, far higher than I expected.

Saw a promo for the next season of Andor and thought for a second I was looking at Tommy Wheeldon Jr.
post-post season #CanPL thought: it's worse for the league that Valour FC has missed playoffs every year than it is that Cavalry and Forge have been to the finals so often.
Like I said yesterday, as a Forge fan, I always want them to win.
But I get where people are coming from when they say they want to see other teams at the top.
It'd be a miracle if Valour won any hardware next year, but I'll be hoping they're at least one of the teams in the playoffs.
Will be curious to see what the viewership on the #CanPL final was like.
