BTW, the US = LARGEST AID DONOR IN THE WORLD, accounting for > 40% of all humanitarian aid tracked by the UN (2024). In FY23, the $71.9 billion in foreign aid spent by the US was a whopping 1.2% of total federal spending. Let it sink in — major global impact, minor fiscal impact at home.
