Today in Labor History April 10, 1947: FBI agents visited Ronald Reagan (then president of the Screen Actors Guild) and his wife Jane Wyman, accusing them of belonging to a communist front group. To prove his loyalty, Reagan agreed to become a secret informer and went on to have a long and illustrious career as an anti-communist, union-busting, trickle-down asshole.

The #ACA / #Obamacare is a popular but not overwhelmingly popular system (60% popularity). It left a lot of the problems with the #private, #forprofit #US #medical system intact and is vulnerable to #farright attacks.

Only 8% of #Democrats oppose #MedicareForAll, yet no Dem politicians pursue it. Ask why.

Most of Trump's plans are inactionable. If he did is plan of #Palestine, most of you #Liberals & everyone in #America will find out what a real backlash is from the rest of the world!

I suspect that this "Iron Dome" will soon be one of the pretexts for annexing #Greenland, because that has historically always been about mineral resources and Russia-facing U.S.A. military presence in the Arctic Circle.

The Secretary of Defense has to present plans for all of this, next month. It will be worth scanning them for any mentions of Greenland and Pituffik Space Base.

If you stopped paying attention to Executive Orders after the first couple of days, you missed out on the second week of #DonaldJTrump's doings.

Ronald Reagan's Star Wars is back.

It's called "Iron Dome" but it has defence against "peer, near-peer, and rogue adversaries", which I suspect might include Canada, and "deployment of proliferated space-based interceptors", so we are back to weaponizing space again.
