First gear domino has fallen... my humble Zoom 1204 FX has sold! Naturally I did this (see attached pic):

Look, it's not like I wasn't gonna put the money back into the studio eventually... and they got me with one of their semi-random sales where they're like, "Hey, you own a couple Arturia products... wanna get V collection for $150."

(The post where I announced I was selling all this gear: ravenation.club/@etherdiver/11)

Here's a good piece of #gear to have if you find yourself in austere environments, backcountry, etc (e.g. #wildfire ). It's a strobe that flashes red, green, blue, red/blue, or UV. This is a must-have if you're working around helicopters in the mountains. It mounts on your helmet, on a pack strap, etc and recharges via USB -C. This one is made by Nitecore

I can't quite believe how little this BRS 3000T backpacking stove weighs. Just 26 grams (0.9 ounces)! Generally excellent reviews too although not for simmering. If you just want boiling water it's seems pretty good. For only 20€ this is incredible value. Will be giving it some outdoor tests soon.

A photo of a polar bear surrounded by flowers has won the second Nature Photography Contest. Christopher Paetkau took the shot in the Arctic using a drone. @Phoblographer took a look at all the gear Paetkau and other winning photographers used. The writer's conclusion: "It’s proof that the absolute most expensive gear is really only used for the most extreme situations."
