It’s actually really good advice. At least I think, based on what I know of my goth friends.

so, my grandma's dying 
pancreatic cancer only has a 5-year survivability window and she's in her late 80s. my grandpa died from dementia last year around this time. my mom is at her bedside and I cant imagine how agonizing it is just waiting for your parent to pass away
she's my last surviving grandparent. I don't feel like crying, oddly. its not a surprise that she's dying. I guess I'm so used to grief, its not as heartwrenching.
Grandma had an inviolable rule that the heat didn't come on until October 15. She did it at higher latitude and less atmospheric carbon. If she were here today, she would say, "I think you could have waited until Halloween."
- Was a difficult morning yesterday, but I managed to to the #grandma recording (or was that the morning before?) at least.
- I had soup left for lunch, which my mother-in-law had done end of last week before they left.
- just before closing work, I had the breakthrough at the short notice asap project, that suddenly had turned from "estimates until end of the month" to "results by end of the week would be nice" on Monday
