📽️ Finally, I will get to watch LONGLEGS and can stop worrying about spoilers! We're going to watch it tonight, and will probably watch the first Uzumaki on Wednesday.

I watched #longlegs the recent horror movie that has been receiving a lot of positive reviews. I don't get it.

*why* is this film good?

I've been an avid horror enthusiast since I was a kid and I've seen every single technique, every single trope, pulled off with more mastery in a number of other movies.

Longlegs really isn't doing anything particularly well, not anything particularly new.

It's like the reviewers have watched another movie altogether.

Appena visto #Longlegs: un #film che vede protagonisti #MaikaMonroe (ormai famosa per #itfollows) e il sempiterno #NicolasCage: lei è un'agente dell'FBI "quasi" sensitiva che si ritrova ad indagare su #serialkiller ed una serie di omicidi inspiegabili lunghi quasi un ventennio, nella cupa e depressa America di provincia. Devo dire un'ottima prova del regista #OsgoodPerkins, che firma anche la sceneggiatura, con un'opera molto suggestiva: il film 1/5

War in #Longlegs und bin in den Film als Thriller gegangen. Horror mag ich nicht, ist der Film auch nicht wirklich.

Als Thriller ist der eigentliche nicht schlecht, das Ende fand ich dann aber doch relativ schwach. Sehr schade eigentlich. Hätte man diese Übernatürlichkeit ein bisschen weiter runtergeschraubt, wäre der als guter Thriller durchgegangen.

Würde ich im Streaming empfehlen, für (reine) Horrorfans aber wahrscheinlich eher nichts...
