@whack At the premium #Apple charges for #SOC #storage I never max it out. I also don’t buy into “oh just attach more external disk!” Especially not with a laptop. #Dongles be damned. I’d like to see #NVMe slots added so we have a cheaper onboard option that enables later #expansion without full system swap.

There are aspects to the Apple #ecosystem I love but, despite Apple silicon, it’s getting much harder not to dump them for #Linux on AMD or pick-an-ARM.

Why are there no good phones on the market?

Yes, even #Fairphone has #enshittified itself too much for my taste!

I don't want much:

#Android (#iOS is cringe and everything else is either a rounding error or dead anyway!)
#HeadphoneJack (Cuz I use that thing and #USB-#Dongles are shite! #Sony already did #Waterproof #Smartphones WITH 3,5mm Jacks over a decade ago!)
#DualSIM (And I mean real Dual-SIM, not #eSIM! with TWO real basebands to be able to have data & calling at the same time, cuz I need that! Bonus Points if it's baseband works with #SnoopSnitch... )
#repairable like a #Fairphone ( #ToolfreeSwappable #Batteries are non-negotiable! Bonus Points if it can run off USB-C power only w/o a battery or allows hot-swapping of batteries w/o interruptions!)
#affordable ( < €500 ) or at least not absurdly expensive. (If I gonna pay like €1k+ I might just buy an #Iridium Extreme 9575 PTT used or an #IridiumGOexec instead!=
No #Bloatware (this includes no #GAPPS / #GoogleApps as mandated for #GooglePlay! Just give me #LineageOS or like a clean #AOSP image...)

I assume those #NFC cards are being used to command playback of a certain file from the internet (that may also be locally cached) as I'm convinced no NFC card can hold sufficient data or transmit it fast enough to actually physically store any sizeable song, making those cards merely work as #dongles to access something.
