只恐花盡老相催。
繁枝容易紛紛落，嫩葉商量細細開。

Who understands the grief these riverside blossoms inflict?

I just fear that when the flowers are gone, old age will press upon me.
The densely packed branches will easily shed petals in thick flurries, may the tender leaves consider just opening bit by bit.

A cluster of sharp-lobed hepatica flowers on the forest floor emerging from last years’s leaves. They are mostly white with a faint blush of violet.
A small eastern red backed salamander resting on a stone and leaf litter.
Three yellow trout lilies blooming on the forest floor. Several more are out of focus behind.
Two white trillium: the larger of the two has a bud that has not yet opened; the smaller one does not have a bud.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day for hiking, so we hit the Wiley Trails, where we spotted these little coltsfoot (𝘛𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘢) flowers.

They're the very first wildflowers (not growing on someone's lawn) that we've seen this year!

I chose this photo for practice with the new version of Photoshop/ACR as I had not opened it before. I thought it came out moderately well and the natural vignette is nice.
