I'm seeing an uptick in video essays under the guise of "just asking questions" attempting to claim there is a conspiracy to destroy #OpenSource, #OpenHardware, #FOSS projects and culture by Far-Left Extremists, #Wokeism, and the #DEI agenda.

None of this is new. They only exploit a new sense of entitlement to more openly speak and act as they long have, emboldened by the spread of anti-democratic, authoritarian, irrational, emotion-driven, ethnocentric rhetoric and assaults on liberty by #Trump and the #TrumpRegime

I have three percent African DNA

However, you won’t see me claim I’m African-American

Or a Black person… though I’d be thrilled and honored to make these claims. My Senegal, Ivory Coast/Ghana and Nigeria DNA together beat Elizabeth Warren’s Native-American DNA 3 times over, but I don’t know my African ancestor(s). I haven’t lived a life with any of their experiences. I can’t own this.

I have been researching organizations that support and help diverse populations (#BIPOC, #LGBTQ+, girls in #STEM, #immigrants, etc.) in my state (#Colorado) and city, so I can make financial donations. During my research, I learned to my surprise, embarrassment, and dismay that one of the leaders of the anti-DEI movement hails from my own city, and has been pivotal in shaping FOTUS’ #DEI purge at the national level. Disgusting. I hope he has the day he voted for.

"Aspirational Whiteness'
More nuanced than the knee-jerk old school Oreo, Apple, or contemporary Bougie, and not exclusively male.

It's the uncritical embracing of an entire ecosystem self-deceptions prepared in advance that enables anyone to buy into a primarily racialized and gendered class based Ponzi scheme, while feeling good about themselves.

This actually includes poor whites who for generations have been treated as and literally called trash, but instead of allying themselves with #BIPoC in the struggle for justice, fight even harder for the sake of #whiteness.
