Gotta love #Canadian retailer #Dollarama: it's not even #springtime, and yet they are already selling pairs of #vampire stakes, complete with twine for both a better hand grip and easy stake retrieval, for only $3.50 per pair!

A pair of solid-wood vampire stakes cleverly disguised as garden dibbers with twine. The dibbers are tapered along their length with a pointed end. They will most likely will require some additional sharpening prior to anti-vampire field use.

On a dark wintry night Santa's gloved hand reaches out of the muddy brown earth of his grave in the midst of a snowy snow swept field while a raven croaks with laughter in a leafless tree beside a sad looking colourful young wizard holding a shovel and his pet Christmas tree decked in baubles and a star. The headstone with Nic Olas engraved on it is wearing Santa's red and white hat.

In Scots: Corbie's lauchin fou at us ma trusty tree.

Who'd huv believed him that Santa wis jist in a month long deep sleep cos o his hard nights work - no deid ataw.

He warned us no tae bury him.

Out and about before Christmas in Milford PA to take in the wonderful holiday decorations all over town. The wind was terrific blowing the flag like crazy and creating some lovely rays of light...

#ArtAdvent Day 22 #seasonal #decorations (some will say #Christmas I say #Solstice ) This colourful chaos is the nexus of a couple of tinsel garlands and a string of multicoloured lights with a shiny paper backdrop.
For these I'm using dark vignetting instead of white -makes the lights look better and recalls the long dark #winter nights of #coziness and #introspection #WinterBright

A jumble of light, colour and reflections as a string of small multicoloured lights crosses a couple of tinsel garlands in gold and silver. There is an open net-like fabric with gold thread behind part of it and gold foil paper behind part- we can't really see these in the photo, but they increase the colour and glow and reflections of reflections from the light. The background is generally dark with an overall red glow, black vignette around the edges.

A #clipper system passing south of the #Northland Sunday night will bring #flurries and #freezing #drizzle to the southern half of the region. #Temperatures will be in the teens and low 20s with light #winds.
