Arthur Tappan Pierson, Presbyterian minister, says if Christ entered a church, we’d make shrines of the aisles. But His simple garments would shame our diamond rings. Pierson says this is our guilt.

I had a LMC-earning relative who dropped out of church because he couldn’t compete in the fashion show.
